COLLEGE INFORMATION
The Ohio State University Marion Campus and Marion Technical College are hosting their 35th annual Marion Area College Night on Monday, October 11th from 6:30 -8:00pm in the Alber Student Center on the Marion Campus. Representative from over 50 colleges throughout Ohio and the Midwest will be in attendance.
College Fair for students with Learning Disabilities will be held at Gahanna Lincoln High School, 140 S. Hamilton Road on Tuesday, October 5th from 6:30-8:00pm. For more information, pick up a flyer in Student Services or check the Student Services webpage.
Miami University’s Outreach & Multicultural Recruitment Team is sponsoring the Bridges Program in November for seniors with at least a 3.0 who are from an underrepresented population or have a commitment to promoting a deeper understanding of a appreciation for cultural diversity. Applications are due by September 10. More detailed information is on the Student Services Scholarship website.
Washington University in St. Louis admissions reps will visit Columbus on Tuesday Sept 21st from 7-8pm at the Hilton Columbus, 3900 Chagrin Drive. No reservations needed. See Student Services website for more information.
Akron University is hosting an Hispanic Heritage Day on September 24th. Response card information is available in Student Services.
Purdue University Women in Engineering is sponsoring a See Purdue day on Monday, October 4. Registrations are due by September 24 and information may be found on the Student Services webpage.
Juniors and Seniors interested in attending the Ohio State presentation on Wednesday September 8th are reminded that you must sign up by noon this Friday in Student Services. Stop by today to review our updated college listed or check it out on the guidance portion of the OHS website by looking under the scholarship section.
Juniors and Seniors interested in attending the presentation next week for Ohio State and Ashland will need to sign up in student services by 12:00 noon this Friday, September 3rd. All juniors and seniors can sign up for three college presentations.

All seniors interested in applying for the Delaware Gazette Teen of the Week must complete and return the application by September 10th. Applications are available in Student Services.

NHS
Attention all prospective National Honor Society members. At this time, you should be requesting recommendations from teachers and community members as part of the application process. The application deadline is Friday, September, 17. Please see Señora Thomson in room 1321 with questions.
SWIM AND DIVE TEAMS
There will be an informational meeting for anyone who is interested in joining the Braves Swimming and Diving teams this winter. The meeting will be on Wednesday, September 8th, @ 2:45. If you cannot attend please see Coach Gipe on Monday for information.
SERVICE CLUB
Do you have free time on your hands? Why don’t you use it to help others and make the community a better place? Sign up for Service Club now! Applications are on the Service Club wall. The first meeting is on Thursday, September 9 at 6:55 a.m. or right after school.
Service Club is looking for volunteers for the blood drive and those who are willing to donate blood. You must be 16 or older to participate. The blood drive will take place Friday, September 17th during your study hall. Sign up during lunch on September 8th and 9th.
TEEN ADVOCATES
The OHS Teen Advocates program is currently seeking new members! If you’re interested in making a difference in your school and community, stop by Student Services or see Mrs. Corpman in room 1623 for an application.
SKI AND BOARD
Olentangy Ski and Board is hosting a contest for a new logo. The winner will get to pick from any item they sell. Flyers with details are located in the main office. The deadline is September 22.
THESPIANS

HEY OLENTANGY BRAVES!
Come out this Friday to support our Braves in the home opener against Delaware Hayes. The night’s theme? “Water we doing?” A beach night? You Beacha! The student tailgate will begin after school in the Junior parking lot where donations will be accepted for MDA. Our goal for Friday is to raise $500. See you at the game!
