SERVICE CLUB BANQUET
Planning on going to the 14th annual Service Club Banquet? Did you turn in that green sheet that went through the wash? Did you remember to enter those hours on PrepHQ for Trick or Treat for Cans?
Well – the deadline is drawing near!!! Take a walk past the Service Club wall to see the latest posting of all service hours as of March 10th. You might be surprised to see who is and isn’t going to receive an invitation at homeroom on March 30th. Be sure to attend the last Service Club meeting – next Thursday, March 18th to hear details about the banquet. The meeting times are 6:55 a.m. and 2:45 p.m. Attendance is mandatory but you may attend either meeting. We are looking forward to finishing the year strong as we move into the 4th quarter.
IN THE KNOW
In the Know will meet after school on Thursday in room 1206. We will celebrate the end of another successful season with pizza and brand name soft drinks. We will also award varsity letters to 8 new team members and recognize returning letter winners.
GERMAN CLUB NIGHT AT THE MOVIES
German Club Night at the Movies will be held at 6:00 p.m. next Tuesday, March 16th. We will be seeing the latest Harry Potter film, The Half-Blood Prince. Pizza is provided, bring a soft drink, and Kussen ist verboten.
SENIORS!
The deadline to enter the Career Passport contest is March 30th. If you have questions regarding the contest, stop by and see Mrs. Andrews on Friday, March 12th. Remember, a $250 check could be yours!!!
GIRLS SWIM TEAM
The Girls Swim Team will have a final meeting of the season on Thursday, March 11th, immediately after school in Coach Harris’ room (2526) to vote on Team Awards. If you cannot attend, please see Coach for a ballot starting tomorrow.
CHEERLEADING TRYOUTS
Cheerleading tryouts for the 2010-2011 football and basketball seasons are scheduled for March 16th-18th. Tryout material will be taught on March 16th and 17th from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Cheerleading candidates will try out on March 18th starting at 3:15 p.m. There will be an optional parent informational meeting on March 10th at 7 p.m. in the Commons. Tryout requirements and a brief overview of cheerleading responsibilities will be covered. If you cannot attend this meeting and would like information, contact Dora d’Amato at dora_damato@olentangy.k12.oh.us
YEARBOOK BABY AD
Attention all seniors! The Baby Ad deadline for the yearbook has been extended until Friday, March 12. Remind your parents that this will be the last chance to purchase a Baby Ad for the 2009-10 yearbook!
JUNIOR GIRLS
The Purdue University Women in Engineering Program invites high school junior girls to attend a free day-long event called Juniors Exploring Engineering. This will be held at Purdue University on April 12, 2010 from 8am to 4pm. Go to www.purdue.edu/wiep to register online by April 5th.
