An Olentangy High School (OHS) senior has earned the highest possible score of 36 on the ACT college admissions and placement exam. Approximately one-tenth of one percent of students taking the exam earn a score of 36.

“I am extremely proud of our student and all of his accomplishments. He is an outstanding and positive presence in our school,” said Tom McDonnell, principal of OHS. “I’m also proud of all the great Olentangy teachers and staff members who have helped him along the way.”

The ACT consists of multiple-choice tests in English, mathematics, reading and science. Each test is scored on a scale of one to 36. The student’s overall, or composite, score is the average of the four test scores. Some students also take ACT’s optional writing test, but that score is not included in the composite score.
