Thank you for being so patient and understanding as the district continues to deal with a series of problems associated with the telephone notification system. We want to stress that we feel these errors are completely unacceptable, and we are working diligently to correct these issues. Olentangy has a history of providing a high level of service, and we expect nothing less from this system.

In light of the current problems and inconsistencies with the notification system, we are asking parents to monitor an alternate information option such as the listserves, the district Web site, radio stations or television stations. These systems have been working well for many years and, at this time, are the most reliable option. This is a short-term measure that will give us the time to correct all of the issues with the notification system, bringing it up to the high level of service that you expect from Olentangy Local Schools.

Thank you again for your patience. We realize that delays and closures cause challenges under the best circumstances, and regret that the system failures have created additional challenges for our students’ families and staff members.
