Olentangy Local Schools Superintendent, Wade Lucas, Ed.D., recently announced that at the April 28 Board of Education meeting, he will recommend current Olentangy Liberty High School (OLHS) Principal Mark Raiff to be employed as the Executive Director of Secondary Learning. This position is currently being filled by Dr. Mike Nicholson, who is resigning at the end of the 2009-10 school year to pursue other opportunities with Battelle for Kids. [Read more…]

Lucas discusses some of the great accomplishments in the district over the past year and what is next in preparing students for a 21st century education.

The Olentangy Local School District is creating several new community committees and the Innovation and Creativity Committee is currently seeking new members. The vision of this group is to support the district’s mission and to ensure that technology is utilized in creative and responsible ways to support, affect and extend learning for all students as they embrace 21st century skills. During the March 16, 2010 Olentangy Board of Education meeting, the board approved the employment of Carla Baker, Olentangy Hyatts Middle School (OHMS) assistant principal, as the Principal of Olentangy Berkshire Middle School (OBMS). While this school will not open until the 2011-12 school year, this position is needed now in order to address the staffing and transition details for the school. [Read more…]
