The 10th Annual Olentangy Education Foundation (OEF) Golf Outing will be held Monday, September 21st at The Lakes Golf & Country Club.
Single golfers are not only welcome, but encouraged. Enjoy a great day of golf, and meet new acquaintances in support of the OEF’s mission! OEF is a non-profit organization of volunteer community members that raises funds to award annual scholarships and teacher grants. The grants represent innovative educational programs that are not funded by the school system’s budget. In 2009, over $30,000 in teacher grants and scholarships were awarded, and OEF has funded over $220,000 in scholarships and grants since 2004. The golf event is one of the primary funding mechanisms for these programs, along with the Spirit of Olentangy Community Dinner (2nd annual to be held January 2010) and Staff Commendation Program.
“The OEF is a great organization that contributes to the district’s success by providing student scholarships and educational grants,” said Superintendent Wade Lucas, Ed.D. “Olentangy Local Schools would not be the same school district it is today without their support.”
