The Hyatts Film Festival drew 274 people to the Arena Grand Theatre in Columbus on Monday, May 23. The annual event showcases student-made movies and highlights the Eagle News program at Hyatts. This year’s theme was “My Life, My Lens.” Congratulations to the following award winners:
- Best Picture: Sophie H. for “Lego Robots: My Life, My Lens.”
- Best Independent: Eric S. for “My Trip to Washington.”
- Best Cinematography: Bailee B., Sonia C. and Maria F. for “If You Dream, You Will Succeed.”
- Best Sound: Erica S. for “My Trip to Washington.”
- Best Editing: Matt H., Drew G., Troy B., Lexa N. and Stevie J. for “My Life, My Lens: The Fab Five.”
- Best Narration: Lexa F. for “Photography: Confidence Through Photos.”
Special thanks to the Arena Grand for donating use of the facility for the evening. Proceeds from ticket sales, a raffle and fundraising sale were used to purchase awards and prizes for the students.
