The Olentangy Local School District is pleased to announce the recipients of this year’s Teacher of the Year and Employee of the Year awards.
The 2011 District Teacher of the Year is Allison Shape, a math teacher at Olentangy High School. Shape’s district co-workers describe her as “extremely high spirited and professional.” One fellow teacher said, “she spends so much time and energy on the creation of assessments, lesson planning, and activities with her students. Her students know she is always available for them.”

The 2011 District Employee of the Year is Kristin Proper, the administrative assistant in the business office. Her fellow workers say she is always looking for ways to help others be more efficient. They also describe her as positive, efficient, friendly, and knowledgeable. One said, “Kris is always willing to take on any project that is given to her and completes it successfully.”
