The Delaware General Health District (DGHD) has presented all 21 Olentangy schools with Clean Establishment Awards. The awards are given to food service operations that displayed excellent food safety and cleanliness practices during their last two inspections by health district sanitarians.
“We are very proud of these awards,” said Food Service Director Pam Riley. “Every staff member takes great pride in providing a safe and clean environment in which our students can enjoy a healthy meal.” All Olentangy food service employees recently completed the “Persons in Charge” program through DGHD. Food service managers also complete the ServSafe program developed by the National Restaurant Education Foundation.
