On Wednesday, September 24, all Olentangy parents are invited to attend an honest discussion related to “Homework Help and 2008-09 Olentangy Curriculum Initiatives.” This dynamic presentation includes two break-out sessions specific to K-5 and 6-12 parents understanding:
- strategies to assist their children with homework;
- best approaches to working collaboratively with their children and schools; and,
- the 2008-09 Olentangy Continuous Improvement Plan (CIP) related to unpacking the curriculum and its link to formative assessment.
The presentation is being sponsored by the Olentangy Parent Programs Team (PPT) and features speakers: Suzanne Wilcox with HOPE Educational Consulting, LLC; Michael Nicholson, Ph.D., executive director of secondary learning; and, Jeff Brown, executive director of elementary learning for Olentangy Local Schools. Parents will have the opportunity to ask questions and seek answers from an expert in the field.
The presentation will take place at Olentangy Liberty High School, 3584 Home Road in Powell from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Free baby sitting is available. For additional information, please contact Kelly Lean at (740) 657-4070.
