Entertainment Book Sale Begins Thursday, September 2
Your child will be bring home their Entertainment Book sale kit this Thursday, September 2. The sale ends on Thursday, September 16. In order to receive their Washington, D.C. credit, your child must turn in their orders and money by this date.

The price for the Columbus book has increased to $25.00 this year. There are some bonus discount cards in the front of the book to offset the cost, and your child will now earn $6.25 per book toward their 8th grade Washington, D.C. trip.

If your child sells at least (1) book, keep the book sent home in the kit and use it to fill one of their orders. If you do not want your child to sell any books, please tell them before Thursday not to take the kit from their Advisory teacher. The teacher will return the kit to the PTO. If you have any questions, contact Korinne Gilliam at RoKo4@msn.com.

Scrip Program
You can earn money for your child’s Washington, D.C. trip by purchasing Scrip orders through the PTO. Your child will earn 2% of what you spend, and this will also earn money for the PTO. The PTO purchases Scrip gift certificates at a discount from participating merchants such as Kroger, Giant Eagle, Kohl’s, Cameron Mitchell Restaurants, and many other restaurants and retail stores. The gift certificates are purchased by you at face value and spent at face value. Our profit comes directly from the merchant, not you!!! Scrip is a nationwide provider of gift certificates. View a full list of the participating companies at www.shopwithscrip.com. If you have gift certificates that you want to purchase for out-of-state friends or family, just add a note to your Scrip form identifying the name of the company and the denomination.

Scrip order forms are available in the school office or on the PTO Web site at orangems.olentangypto.org/ Select the Fundraising link on the left side of the home page. There is a box in the office for your order forms and payment. Orders turned in by noon on Fridays will be ready the following Friday. You or your child may pick up the order in the office.

If you have any questions, please contact Amy Christie, Scrip Coordinator, at achristi@insight.rr.com or 740-549-4921.

Traffic Concerns
Thank you to all of our parents for your patience and understanding as the Orange Road project may have changed your traffic pattern for morning drop off and afternoon pick up. Due to this traffic pattern change residents in the McCammon Chase, Cross Creek, Abbey Knoll, and Woodstone subdivisions have seen an increase in the number of vehicles that utilize these roads. Please be aware of the high concentration of students who live in these areas and walk alongside of the road to get to and from their bus stops. Thank you for your cooperation and continued concern for the safety of our children.

School Photo Options

It has come to our attention that some families have not yet received their envelope of information from HR Imaging related to student pictures. If you have not received your information or if you have misplaced it, please complete the information on the attached flier and either prepay for your order online or send the exact payment in with your student. Instructions for both options are included on the flier. Please note that all students will have a portrait taken, even if they are not ordering pictures, for use with their school id.

The OOMS office staff looks forward to greeting students this week for their schedule pickup/orientation activities. Please go online to www.olentangy.k12.oh.us/district/bts/msinfo.html for important information, including forms required to receive your student’s schedule. If you have any further questions, please contact the school office at (740) 657-5300. Thank you!
