The OLHS Girls Cross Country team has its 2nd “eat and profit” fundraiser scheduled for Tuesday, June 8th @ City BBQ! You must bring a flyer (available in the Office) with you to City BBQ so the CC team can receive 25% of all purchases. You don’t have to eat at the restaurant…you can call in for take out and the flyer is good all day–lunch and dinner. And thank you to all who participated in our first fundraiser and got to Handel’s before it stormed! We really appreciate it! Thanks so much for all the support! Go Patriots!
Help Wanted – The PTO has one open board position for next year, Assistant Treasurer. This position is perfect for someone who is detail oriented and good with the computer. The position is responsible for the tracking of all Scrip funds, the maintenance of the family allocation spreadsheet, and the balancing of the Scrip account bank statement. Some QuickBooks knowledge would be helpful but is not required. If you want to help our school but can’t spend time from your busy schedule at school events, assistant treasurer is a perfect position to handle from your home. If you are interested, please contact Vanessa Hamilton at nessa718504@earthlink.net
Attention Kroger Community Rewards Program participants. Due to the declining revenue generated by the Kroger Rewards Program and the relatively small percentage of Liberty families participating in the program, the OLMSPTO voted to discontinue the current method of allotting funds effective July 31, 2010. After that date, all the revenue earned in the Kroger program will go to the PTO. The revenue will be divided between the PTO general fund and a fund to defray the overall cost of the 8th grade trip to Washington, D.C. Fewer than 33% of Liberty families participated in the program with an average of $27 earned by participating families. All current participants in the program will retain their earnings-to-date through July 31, 2010. Following the July date, all monies earned in the program will be awarded to the defrayment of costs for all, not by individual families. The PTO was hesitant to take this step, but the program as it now stands is too cumbersome to maintain. The PTO encourages your continued participation in the Kroger Community Rewards program in order to lower the cost of the DC trip for all as well as to fund the activities and programs provided to our children and our middle school by the PTO. We thank you for your continued support of our PTO and look forward to another great year.
Celebrate the last day of school and earn money for the PTO’s programs for next year. The OLMS PTO is hosting a “Dine to Donate” event together with Applebee’s in Powell on the last day of school. Why cook on the last day of school?! Come celebrate at Applebee’s on June 8th anytime from 11 am to close. Carside to Go orders are included too. Be sure to present the Dine to Donate flyer to your server in order for our PTO to receive credit. The flyer is available in the office. If you would like a flyer but cannot get to the school to pick one up, please email Vanessa Hamilton at nessa718504@earthlink.net I’ll email you a flyer directly. Thanks for your support and have a great summer!
