Reminder that all students interested in wrestling, conditioning starts today after school. Meet by the locker rooms. Please have running shoes, clothes for outside, and wrestling shoes if you have them. Conditioning will END at 4:30.
Open gyms will be held this week Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 7pm-8:45pm for 7th grade boys only who plan to tryout for the basketball team. See Coach Cikach with questions.

Ski Club — Monday, November 9th at 4:00 PM, is the deadline for all Ski Club applications. Any applications after that date will have to be brought directly to Mr. Rathje at the high school.
A reminder to all Cross Country athletes : The Cross Country Banquet is scheduled for this Thursday , October 29th starting at 6:30 p.m. and will be held in the cafeteria.
Baseball — Coach Lattig will be hosting an informational meeting for any Middle School Baseball player who intends to play baseball in High School on Wednesday, Oct. 28th at 7 pm at Liberty HS. topics to be discussed are: Patriots Player Expectations, Conditioning and Lifting for the Future, Summer Expectations and More.
Student Directory — Parents and Students: The OLMS PTO has assembled a directory of students for the 2009/2010 school year. The directory is your guide to everyone at Liberty Middle School. These soft bound directories will be available for purchase on Monday, October 26th, Wednesday, October 28th, Friday, October 30th during lunchtime and at Friday school stores in the future. Directories are $3 each. You can send in cash with your child or checks should be made payable to OLMS PTO. Make sure your teen can call all his/her friends! Be sure to get one for you in case they keep theirs. Don’t be left out–get your directory!!
Junior Teen Advocates (JTA)
Are you interested in giving back to the community? Are you interested in gaining leadership skills? If so, Junior Teen Advocates (JTA) is the group for you! JTA is a group for middle school students that focuses on leadership, community service, and drug and alcohol prevention among teens. It is coordinated in partnership by Recovery and Prevention Resources of Delaware and Morrow Counties (RPR), Liberty Township/Powell YMCA, and Olentangy Liberty Middle School. Teens will meet after school for biweekly meetings and activities. This group is designed to develop the following areas in middle school teens: leadership: through service learning and social development; education: focusing on career and life skills; and health: centering on safety and well being. The first meeting is October 27th from 3:15-4:45 in room 114 so stop by the counselor’s office to pick up an application today. This club is open to all 6th, 7th and 8th graders.
