Benchmark 1: Achievement at or above anticipated levels based on measured ability –
Percentage of students achieving at or above their anticipated level of achievement, as measured by nationally standardized tests, will increase overall in a majority of areas and grades from 3-year averages.

Student achievement in each grade level and subject will demonstrate at least a year’s worth of learning for a year’s worth of instruction, as measured by the Ohio growth model.

75% or more of students taking Ohio tests will score proficient and above.

Benchmark 5: Increased percentages of students at advanced levels –
Percentage of students scoring at an advanced proficient level will increase in a majority of subjects from 2007 levels.

Highlights:
- JCES growth rating is above a year's worth of growth.
- JCES met all state benchmarks for all subjects and AYP for all subgroups.
- Over 46 percent of JCES third grade students scored advanced on the reading achievement test.
