Summary of Results – Annual Benchmark Progress:
MET indicates that the benchmark was met at the overall district level or in a majority of indicators where there are multiple areas listed in the benchmark. The legend below will be used throughout the report to let you know, at a glance, whether or not the benchmark has been met.
Benchmark 1: Achievement at or above anticipated levels based on measured ability –
Percentage of students achieving at or above their anticipated level of achievement, as measured by nationally standardized tests, will increase overall in a majority of areas and grades from three-year averages.

Benchmark 2: Gain a year or more in achievement for every year of instruction –
Student achievement in each grade level and subject will demonstrate at least a year's worth of learning for a year's worth of instruction, as measured by the Ohio growth model.

Benchmark 3: Meet state and national standards –
75% or more of students taking Ohio tests will score proficient and above.
- MET – All subjects above state benchmark.
Meet Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) goal for each testing subgroups.
- MET – All subgroups met AYP.
State Performance Index will increase from 2006-2007 level
- MET – Performance Index increased from 108.2 to 110.1
Benchmark 4: Top of state and nation –
Percent proficient will increase in a majority of Ohio tests from 2006-07 levels and will surpass similar district average in a majority of subjects tested.

State Performance Index Ranking will increase from 2006-07 level.
- MET – Performance Index ranking increased from top 5.0 percent to the top 3.1 percent in the state.
Benchmark 5: Increased percentages of students at advanced levels –
Percentage of students scoring at an advanced proficient level will increase in a majority of subjects from 2007 levels.

Percentage of students participating in Advanced Placement (AP) courses will increase from three-year averages.
- MET – Percentage of students participating in AP increased from the 3-year average.
Percent scoring 3, 4, or 5 in Advanced Placement will increase from three-year averages.
- MET – Percentage scoring 3 or higher increased from the 3-year average.
Benchmark 6: High and increasing ratings in survey responses regarding the mission and vision –

Benchmark 7: Graduates prepared for educational / vocational pursuit of their choice –
Percentage of seniors giving top two ratings on the Senior Exit Survey will increase from three-year averages, or remain 90% or above.

Percentage of students meeting all four ACT College Readiness Benchmarks will increase from 2007 level.
- MET – Percentage of students meeting all four benchmarks increased from previous year.
Ohio Board of Regents college data will show increase in percentage of students taking complete high school core curriculum and will show decrease in percentage of students taking remedial course work in college.
- NOT MET – Regents Data shows decrease in percentage of graduates taking "Ohio Core" and an increase in the remediation rate.
ACT/SAT mean scores will increase from the 2007 level.
- MET – ACT mean scores increased from previous year.
